- And 874 rocks, if you insist Cartographer mode lists every named rock, islet and skerry in Greek waters, for whoever goes looking for it. Nobody is going to finish it. It changes no other number in the app.

Questions
Does it work offline?
The installed app does — the map and every island outline ship inside it, so it works on a ferry with no reception. The browser version has to load over the network first, so install the app if you are heading somewhere without a signal.
Do I need an account?
No. Your list lives on your device — in the app, or in the browser you started it in. Signing in is optional and only adds sync and the friends features; it is also how a list you began in the browser follows you onto your phone.
Is it free?
Yes, with nothing to buy. No ads, no third-party analytics, and no location tracking — Pelagos never asks where you are, you tell it where you have been.
What counts as an island?
The main 89 are the inhabited islands people actually travel to. The excursion islets — the ones you visit for an afternoon without staying — sit in the opt-in expert tier so they never inflate the number that matters.
What is cartographer mode?
A third list, for whoever goes looking for it: the 874 rocks, islets and skerries in Greek waters that have a name, in both languages. It is a joke you are welcome to take seriously. Nobody is going to finish it, and it leaves your island count, your badges and your standing against friends exactly where they were.
